About the school

We are so excited to be having our second Iris Global Harvard School of Missions in Johannesburg in 2026.

Harvest School is a Spirit-filled hands-on missions school that trains, equips and sends out radical lovers of Jesus to the ends of the earth.

The heart of the school is to raise up missionaries that are willing to go to the end, missionaries that are willing to not only read what the Great Commission is, but to actually actively participate in playing our role in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Not just being disciples of Jesus, but that we are those that are making disciples, that we become disciple makers in any aspect of missions and ministry that we’re doing, whether it be cross culturally or in our own nations.

We want to raise up those that are living in obedience to the Lord, being led by the Spirit of God

Come and experience The Great Commission in action as you come alive to the reality of the love of Jesus Christ for the lost

What to expect during the school

Come and be part of Iris Johannesburg for three months, living in community, studying foundational teachings on mission, discipleship and the heart of God for the poor and broken.

Daily life will include teaching sessions, times of worship and prayer, small-group discipleship, communal meals and being immersed in a relational community where you learn not only by lecture but by doing. You’ll be encouraged to grow in your identity in Christ, humility, faith, and the ability to minister in real contexts. The city and its surroundings provide a challenging but rich mission field.

You’ll engage in practical outreach: going into local neighborhoods, squatter camps, impoverished areas around Johannesburg to serve by praying for the sick, distributing food or basic necessities, and sharing the gospel.

About Iris Johannesburg

The heart of Iris Johannesburg is to bring children into a family not an institution. We are a small ministry center where intimacy and relationship is a lifestyle. We are raising our kids with their identities firmly rooted in Christ and they join us in all our ministry activities. We take them on community outreaches where they pray for the sick, pass out meals, and preach the Gospel. It is a joy to see them engage in every aspect of our ministry from serving short-term visitors to distributing basic necessities in squatter camps.

Only an hour’s drive from Johannesburg, a bustling city filled with crime, unemployment, sex trafficking and drugs, third world conditions are right on our doorstep as thousands of neighbouring immigrants flock to this city and a jobless existence. We speak to nations, by pouring the love of Jesus on them in many different ways, and encouraging them to take that love back home to their countries.

Tuition fee

$3,000 + $200 registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and due within 10 days after receiving your acceptance letter.

Total- $3,200.
